Faith family,

You may be wondering, like us, when church will reopen. There are ongoing conversations of when restrictions will begin to loosen and people are looking for a few positive signs of a return to normalcy, but for now, we’re unable to reopen just yet.

As you know, our weekend services and ministry environments aren’t conducive to social distancing. And social distancing continues to be one of the ways we can love our neighbors and protect our families.

We’re evaluating several potential scenarios to implement for when we are able to safely meet in our building. In the meantime, you, your family and your neighbors can gather online every Sunday and experience our drive-in church services on certain Sundays. As of right now, we plan to continue that through the month of May.

Or course, we’re following COVID-19 announcements carefully. We’ll continue to closely monitor the situation and will keep you posted when there’s an update to share. In the meantime, keep pursuing the hope of Jesus in this time!

As Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians in I Thess. 2:17 says, “Brothers and sisters, we were separated from you for a while physically but not in our hearts. We made every effort in our desire to see you again face-to-face.”

We long to see each other in person! With eager anticipation we await that day! In the meantime, though, God is at work. Don’t miss what he’s doing in this season! Keep being a light, keep loving, keep praying and keep giving all to the glory of God.

Lastly, but more importantly, we are here for you! If you need prayer or have other needs, simply all our Faith Cares hotline at 303.403.2715 or e-mail faith.cares@faith.church.

Much love to my family,

March 13, 2020

I want you to know we are praying for you and your family in light of the Coronavirus situation. I also want to remind you that our God is on the throne.

In times like these, the enemy's desire is to bring fear or dismay, but I want you know that fear is a liar. Our God's the God of peace, courage and faithfulness. We in His Kingdom can press forward by faith.

Together, let us remember the words of the apostle Paul to Timothy in 2 Timothy 1:7.

"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."

In this brief season, which will absolutely pass, this is my prayer for you out of Romans 15:13:

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."

Finally, from a place of wisdom and not fear, we've made some plans about this coming Sunday and events this weekend that I wanted to share with you verbally. Please watch this two-minute video:

  • All activities and events held at Faith's facilities will be postponed/rescheduled. This includes FSM, Celebrate Recovery, Small Groups that meet at Faith's facilities, etc.

  • Service will be held online this Sunday at 10AM. Join us live here. We'll have a live, interactive chat room, an online host and online prayer room to accompany the service.

  • For further updates beyond this weekend, visit this Web page check and out Instagram and Facebook using the handle @faitharvada.

We're incredibly grateful for our maintenance and cleaning crews who have been working diligently since the beginning to take extra precautions to sanitize and clean our buildings daily.

We'll continue to monitor the situation closely with input from local agencies and the CDC to assess the plan beyond this weekend.

Let's be on guard to pray for all of those impacted by the virus, as well as global health officials and agencies dealing with this situation.

I love you all, and I'm looking forward to all of us joining online together this Sunday!
